Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport Redevelopment Continues with Steady Progress

Anguilla’s transformative airport redevelopment project continues to make steady strides toward completion, with the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (CJLIA) entering an exciting new phase of construction. Since breaking ground in mid-2023, the project has maintained momentum, delivering on key milestones while upholding the high standards of engineering, environmental sustainability, and local workforce engagement.

As of early February 2025, site preparation and earthworks are over 90% complete, and structural work has begun on the expanded terminal building, which will triple the facility’s passenger capacity.  Speaking on the project’s progress, the Project Manager, Everton Dore noted, “We’re extremely proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time. It’s especially rewarding to see so many skilled Anguillian workers contributing to a project of this scale. Their dedication and craftsmanship are at the heart of our success.”

The new CJLIA is set to position Anguilla as a premier gateway for visitors and investors alike, opening up new routes, partnerships, and potential for growth. Construction remains on track for substantial completion in 2026.

Stay tuned for more updates.
