This significant project marks a new chapter in the development of the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport, aiming to transform it into a modern, state-of-the-art facility that will enhance operational efficiency, safety, and passenger experience.

Project Overview

The Anguilla Airport Redevelopment Project, Package 3, encompasses several critical upgrades and expansions:

• New Air Terminal: The centerpiece of this project is the construction of a new, modern air terminal covering approximately 4,650 square meters. This terminal will offer enhanced passenger experiences with improved amenities and services.
• Airside Enhancements: These include the construction of new aprons, advanced drainage systems, and upgraded lighting to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.
• Landside Improvements: The project will also see the development of new parking facilities, roadways, and utilities to better accommodate the needs of travelers and airport staff.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

On March 27, 2024, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark the commencement of this ambitious project. The event was attended by representatives from the Government of Anguilla, AECON, and Kelly Construction, symbolizing the collaborative effort behind this redevelopment initiative. The ceremony was a significant milestone, celebrating the start of construction that promises to bring substantial benefits to the Anguilla community.

Enhancing Passenger Experience

The new terminal is designed to provide a seamless and comfortable experience for passengers. Key features will include:

• Expanded Check-in and Security Areas: With 16 check-in desks and ten immigration counters, the new terminal will streamline passenger processing and reduce wait times.
• Concession Spaces: The terminal will house four food and beverage spaces, along with shopping and duty-free areas, offering passengers a variety of options to enjoy while waiting for their flights.
• VIP Lounge: A dedicated VIP lounge will cater to premium passengers, providing a luxurious and relaxing environment.
