Kelly Construction Retrofits Cruise Ship for Ross University School of Medicine
Frigate Bay, December 7th, 2017 – Kelly Construction was awarded the contract to reconfigure Deck C of the GNV Excellent ship to provide office and learning spaces for the Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM). The project forms part of the temporary relocation of the RUSM community to St. Kitts, following the damages to its campus in Dominica by Hurricane Maria.
The scope of work surrounded the construction of thirty (30) office and study rooms on Deck C and involved the coordination of several agencies and suppliers to ensure the safety and security for all involved. The work was expedited and completed in only 3 weeks.
